It’s also helpful to know if you’re a returning client, local, traveling for this appointment, or have a budget in mind. Please avoid scheduling other appointments immediately before or after your tattoo session as the exact duration can vary.
⊹ Deposit ⊹
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $100 to $200 is required to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied toward the total cost of your final session. Your deposit will be forfeited if you are more than 15 minutes late, reschedule without 72 hours' notice, cancel your appointment, do not show up, or significantly change the design concept. Deposits are not held longer than six months. If no appointment is scheduled within six months of the original booking date, the deposit will expire. For projects requiring multiple sessions, a follow-up appointment must be booked within six months of the last completed session or the deposit will expire and a new deposit will be required.

⊹ Rate & Payment ⊹
Smaller tattoos are priced per piece, while larger ones are charged by the hour. My hourly rate is $190 (plus 5% GST), applied only to actual tattooing time. Consultations, design preparation (including hand-drawing), and time spent placing or adjusting the stencil are not included. Payment can be made by cash or e-transfer only.

⊹ Gift Card ⊹
Gift cards are non-refundable, non-transferable, and must be used within the validity period. Expired cards cannot be accepted or extended. Digital, printable versions are available — no studio visit required. Bookings made with a gift card follow the studio’s standard policies.

⊹ Consultation ⊹
Most consultations can be done via form or email. In-person consultations are available upon request or for cover-ups and large projects. A $50 non-refundable consultation deposit is required to book a consultation. If you proceed with booking a tattoo appointment after the consultation, this amount will be applied toward the cost of your tattoo. If you choose not to move forward, the fee is non-refundable. The deposit will also be forfeited for no-shows or rescheduling within 72 hours. For large or multi-session projects, an additional deposit may be required after the consultation. Please provide reference images in advance to make the process efficient.

⊹ Studio ⊹
I work at Tatsu Tattoo, located at #208-645 Fort St, Yarrow Building, Downtown Victoria. When you arrive at the building, please take the elevator to reach the studio. The building doors close on Saturdays after 2:30 PM, and remain closed all day on Sundays and holidays. Please contact me when you arrive.

⊹ Design ⊹
​I do not send tattoo designs ahead of time. When you come in for your appointment, we’ll go over the design together and make any adjustments you’d like on the spot. There’s no extra charge for small modifications or for the time I spend drawing directly on your skin. If the concept changes significantly from what we originally agreed on, though, your deposit may be forfeited and an additional design fee could apply.

⊹ Before Your Appointment ⊹
• Shower and shave​​​ the area (if possible)
• Eat a good meal beforehand.
• Avoid alcohol or blood thinners for 24 hours.
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing so I can easily access the area.​

⊹ Rescheduling ⊹
If you need to reschedule, please give at least 72 hours’ notice. Each appointment may be rescheduled once, and deposits will be forfeited if sufficient notice is not provided.​

⊹ Aftercare ⊹
• Clean your tattoo gently with unscented soap and water daily.
• When the tattoo begins to feel itchy or dry, wash it, pat it dry, and apply an unscented, water-based lotion.
• Do not scratch or pick at your tattoo during the healing process.
• Keep your tattoo out of direct sun and avoid tanning until it’s fully healed.
• Avoid swimming, hot tubs, or saunas until your tattoo has completely healed (typically 2–3 weeks).

⊹ Touch-up ⊹
Touch-ups are complimentary if scheduled within 6 months of your original appointment. However, tattoos on the hands, feet, and neck are excluded from free touch-ups, and touch-ups for issues resulting from not following aftercare instructions may be subject to a fee. No-shows or reschedules without 72 hours’ notice will result in a $50 charge.
